This blog has been created as part of my online studies with Charles Sturt University in undertaking the Master of Information Studies. It is a requirement for the subject INF506 Social Networking for Information Professionals. Therefore the focus of this blog will be to fulfill the course assessment tasks, for reflective practice, and in particular as an Online Learning Journal.

This is not the first blog I have created. In fact I have several. My main blog nowadays is Sues Bent that I began in September 2006 and has been continuing in a sporadic fashion since then. I began my blogging experiment with Blog of a Footballer’s Mother back in April 2006, following my son’s journey into AFL football.

I have used blogs for other projects such as building a new house, and involving myself with my love of French things. I have also used wikis to document similar personal writing and research projects: a wiki to store the links to French things; and another to write a travel diary of a trip to Europe in 2008.

The main reasons for publishing my personal experiences online are to experiment with the media and tools, and to try to develop my writing skills.

You can find me on twitter @suesbent, and on Facebook, Delicious, Flickr, Pinterest, LibraryThing, Goodreads, Slideshare, and LinkedIn.
